Freeway Ultra Alpha 2 Released (Build 219, 12/28/06)
Announcing Freeway Ultra
The fastest just got even faster.
Freeway Ultra offers many improvements over the previous versions. It is programmed in C#, thus utilizing the lightning-fast .NET framework. Because of this advantage, Freeway Ultra runs much more quickly and efficiently than its Visual Basic counterparts. Also, Winamp has been scrapped, and Ultra now uses mplayer as a backend.
Note that this is an alpha version! You should expect to encounter a few bugs, but for the most part this should be suitable for in-car testing, as well as on your home computer.
If you find a bug, please create a new thread to report it, and include the entire error log.
You must obtain a copy of mplayer ( http://www.mplayerhq.hu/) and extract it into a subdirectory named "mplayer" in the Freeway directory. Make sure you configure the Freeway.ini file, and install the fonts found in the fonts.zip file in the release directory before running.

Thanks Oeri, am looking forward to installing it!
A bit of a problem though. I download the zip file and when I try to extract it, windows tells me its corrupt! I can download and extract the fonts file fine though!

A few issues:
-The Iguidance embed is cut off on the top and bottom. See attached picture...
-Is the list of movies supposed to update to your zip code? Awesome feature BTW!
-If I browse through my music albums it only shows a small amount of my folders 223 out of 3200.
Question:
-Are there any plans for Phone Control integration?
-Is there any chance an active zip code update via GPS?
Thanks this is great.

I'll take a look at this -- I am aware of most of the GPS issues, but can't do much because I don't have iGuidance with me at school.

No, you have to define the theaters in the movies.ini file according to the theater ID on Yahoo.

Are you sure you're not looking at the page number? There might be 223 pages of albums displayed.

I have no money to buy a license for PhoCo, but if I can get a copy of it, I will integrate it.

Again, I have no GPS, so testing this would be tough.

Ok, i've unzipped it all but when I try to open FreewayUltra.exe, I get the error message below.
I think its some kind of registry muck-up? Have I done something wrong?
