frodoplayer screenshot
Just wanted to show people it's coming along nicely.
So far this works:
MP3 player, without winamp, but uses winamp input/output plugins
DVD using mswebdvd control
Video using windows media player control 6.4 (some people don't like 9 )
Play by directory is all that is implemented so far.
fullscreen modes for video and dvd, working on one for mp3
external apps support with extracted icons & user configurable
shuffle play for vid & mp3
working on a lot of other crap, trying to get a beta out,
i would call this a pre-alpha
Frodo
Note, the blue buttons in the pic above are not mine, they came from a skin from mediaengine named bigwheels by some guy named mike. They won't be in the finished product because I don't have permission to use them. If these are your buttons and you are offended by my screenshot I will remove it, I just needed some buttons for testing.

How is the volume controlled? by lowering the volume of the actual MP3 file or the wave volume?

right now it's lowering the volume of the mp3 file, but in dvd it's lowering the wav,
vid, I haven't programmed volume.
I'm going to reprogram all to just adjust wave in the end.

yes IMO it is a better volume control if it can control the wave instead of the actual mp3 volume.
Keep us posted.

i'm doing comp science at the university. so far, i did my first year and learned a decent amount of C++, and will do some more C++ this fall semester. I was wondering if u could show me a site or possibly a good book to purchase on making applications, something that can lead me into making the "cubanmoses player". i know it's gonna take me a long time to learn, but hey, i will have some time on my hands.
i haven't made any type of complicated programs yet, but i figure when i go back to school i can use the help of my teachers too.
