You actually never have to go to mini mode if you don't want.
All you need to to is put frodoplayer back IN advanced screen settings
and then set the position and size to show your task bar.

Try double clicking the movie while in full screen. It should go back to to small window. This works on my TS.

A few suggestions

1) In mini-mode, and I know this will sound silly but I would like the text to scroll the other way.
2) In full mode, I wold like to see text scroll for the "visual" area
3) Since the area of the text in the play list is fairly limited, I think it would be better to have <song name> - <artist> display. Now if the name of the artist is long (and I have a few) I can't see the name of the songs.
4) An option to not allow full screen visualization. Windows media player vis. in full screen mode can cause a problem for me in two ways. If I use a simple one (like the bars) I need to hit ESC and can't. If I use a complex I end up with a black screen after the video mode switch (I tried changing the res.)

I was about to say that also...but I think it should remember which way it was scrolling last. So if you close Mini-Mode then go back, it will be scrolling like before.

Frodo did Mini-Mode get larger with 1.03?

ok, how about this.

i am pretty sure we can make our desktop go "buuubye" and replace it with FrodoPlayer, so it will fire up immediately on start and not have a desktop mode. It may be easier to explain how to do it, but a button that makes it the default automatically would be kinda cool too.
Part 2 of question 1; Is it possible to change the exit menu to get rid of the bad ones for this feature, like "exit", "log off" and such? it would be nice if we could either choose which options, or if only hibernate, standby, and shut down were listed maybe. It might even be easier to just make the "X" into a exit button, with no submenu, and make it either hibernate or shutdown when clicked.

Just some thoughts.

uncheck the "use advanced screen settings" on the main setup screen. Or go into the FrodoPlayer configuration settings and set the use_advanced_screen_settings to "FALSE"

If feasible, making it dual skin plus darken screen would be the best. This could be auto-set with clock, and with a button on the main menu.

If its being done, I'd make a skin where the buttons are like the ones in my car, and by night there would simply be the lighted areas, just like in my car bu night

I also second the button-only mini overlay when using other apps...

but so far its just the greatest app ever.

I was also wondering if the up/down buttons could somehow be replaced with a slider (0-100% adjustable by sliding the finger) ... but I am not certain this would be a great asset while driving.. what do you other guys think?

You could also edit the screen size of the advance screen settings in the frodoplayer.ini file

What is the advance screen settings anyway???

Does it play movies ?

Hey Frodo

I think you player is very good. Specially the playlists.

I have one question. Can this player play movies in AVI. - mpg - dvd backked up to disk e.t.c. ??? I have tried setting a movie directory and pointing frodo player to that directory. I can see the movies (mpg files) but when I select them they seem to load but nothing is shown on the screen. Am I doing something wrong ?
If I can make the movies play I will surely make frodoplayer my best choice for my car pc.
Thanks

With them off, the app is a fullscreen application.
With them on, you can set the top, left, width, height of the app in pixels.

For exact positioning on screen and exact sizing etc.
