Th problem is if I give it an ultrasmall skin it becomes unusable. That is why an onscreen icon like the Virtual Keyboards would be extremely useful. There would basically be 3 Frodoplayer modes. Full Screen, Mini Mode, and Always on top ICON.

You are right wkolodny, i was just speaking about the functionality you want being the same as docking a skin in wmp.

Personally, (this may just be me) i would like to just have a minimize to the taskbar button on the main screen. If i want to change the song, ill just maximize frodoplayer and change it. Cant do two things at once anyway so no real point (for me that is) in using the mini mode. I know for others that use GPS and stuff they need to see its a usefull feature.

I agree. Minimize functionality would help in many situations unless you are dealing with another full screen app like Copilot.

I couldn't find anyone else making this suggestion... but with the new scroll bars, where you can just tap the up or down arrow and the thing will scroll... any way to make it so that you can just hold it down, and it'll scroll slowly at first. Then it'll slow get faster and faster?

Right now it seems that you have to just keep tapping the up arrow if you want to scroll up. For a touchscreen user in the car, that can get annoying.

Thanks

Ok, how about this then...

Make a button on the FrodoPlayer that mutes audio and goes to a black screen....for when you get pulled over

You know, I was joking around at first....but an "Oh Sh1t" button might be kinda cool. For later.

I have that (O *****) button allready.
And I got the Griffen Powermate, so I press it in to mute.
It's the Power button on my DWW-7VGA.

reminds me the "boss key" on comp game, and the "teacher key" on calculator games... now its the "cop key" on carputer.

Could be real nice I agree. Then double-click the black screen to come back. (single is too easy - might acidentally restart music and get into troubles)

Can you use the powermate to control Frodo? The most important features I need are volume control and next/previous song. Fast Fwd/Rwd would be nice to.

For now, I use the PowerMate for only Volume and Mute.

I didn't program in press and turn. I think press and turn was having some issues such as muting when I was trying to use press and turn.

I should program Press and Turn to be next track and previous track and get rid of the mute function. Maybe that will do it.

I'm waiting for the new drivers still.

a mini-frodo sandwhich??

I'm using Routis as my GPS software.

What would be great is if the mini-mode coule be split to the top and bottom of the screen. i.e. On the top of the screen would be the song info, then beneath that the Nav software, and beneath that, all the Frodoplayer buttons. Seems to me that would make better use of the screen space.

Thanks for a great program.

Griffin Powermate works great with Frodoplayer.

I went ahead and bought the silver griffin powermate at Compusa for 40 dollars. It works great. Very frodoplayer friendly. I programmed Press and turn=volume up/down, press once=mute/toggle, turn right=next track, and turn left=pause/toggle. Make sure you DO NOT use the built in Frodo volume keys though. When a key is pressed it shoots up or down the volume until you press the key again. Just use the built in powermate functions for doing the same thing.

Install is a little tricky on XP. READ THE INSTALL DIRECTIONS and you will have no issues.

Volume changes to 100% when skipping songs???

I don't know if this is the problem that everyone is having but when i map the volume buttons to WAV (the only way i can control the digital S/PDIF port) the + and - and mute work perfectly but everytime I change songs it bumps right up to 100%. Shouldn't it remember the last volume state?

I think mediacar dealt with this by mapping all of the volume sliders (main, wav,cd,aux) to the slider in mediacar. Personaly i don't care if they all get mapped i just want to avoid situations like today where i got blasted with very very very loud music. Now my ears are really hurting.
