btw, Im fully updated to 1.08
The playlists are read in the order that they appear in the file.

Frodo,
With 1.0.8 sometimes it takes a very long time for the player to start playing after coming out of standby. Before the update the music would come on before my screen even finished turning on. With 1.0.8 it sometimes takes a few minutes after everything is up.

Incomplete Song List
I just installed FrodoPlayer 1.08 and it looks nice. It does however not load my music library completely.
It finds all of my songs in the configuration and I have verified the database is accurate. However, when I go to the play screen, it displays 15% and stops. Most songs are then missing from the play list.
I also got this error in the fperrorlog.txt file repeatedly:
5/24/2004 - 12:05:47 AM - 429 - ActiveX component can't create object - frmSettings-BuildDB - 0 - FrodoPlayer -
I am guessing that it is for every song after a certain point. Possibly a tag that is not being read correctly or something?
Comments?

You are missing a dependency, let me see if I can figure out which one.

Just found this the past few days,
When you assign a shortcut to exit frodoplayer (touchscreen currentlly not working all the time) it dosent resume play on the song you were listening to last. It only remembers what dir or list of songs you were listening to, but not the actual song.

Under settings in the shortcuts tab, i assigned a key for EXIT. But when you exit frodoplayer via this shortcut key press it dosent remember the song you were listening to before shutdown when i load FP back up. When you exit the normal way through the menu it does as expected.

I guess, for some reason, the app can't get to the Win98 volume controls.
And I don't know if it is related, but in the fperrorlog I find the following line:
... - 6 - Overflow - frmDB-tmrCleanUp_Timer
It gets written to the logfile every second the player is running.
I'm new in this community, tried about every player I could get my hands on but this one really rocks !! Keep up the good work.
This happened to me in windows xp, when i didn't have an audio device installed correctly. Check your drivers (and of course make sure you have a sound card).

I've found a bug
In mini-mode, the text display for the song title loads in wrong It appears you are loading a picture box and positioning it using the values defined in the mini.ini file, and then using the same values to position the text within the picture box, rather than the text sitting at 0,0.
See attached picture for better explanation

Uncheck use advanced screen settings. Or go into Frodoplayer ini
and set them manualy under the [ADVANCED] section.

Edit: My fault.. Love this program!
No Dashes.
On my play screen, and my playlist screen and anywhere that would display a name. There is no dash in between the Artist and the Title. Additonally you cannot change between the Artist - Title, Title - Artist, and title only. Any changes to that will go back to Artist - Title. (Again.. with no dash).
I am using the latest version with the patch.

This is a follow up to the last post that I feel now should be a bug.
There is a problem when phrasing a file, or ID3 tags. If there is for example, a dash, or & symbol or any non letter or number it doesn't display it. So if I have an Artist of: "Bob & Bob" it will only show "Bob Bob". Same with dashes and other things. I say this is a bug (although not bug I know.. it just requires more coding to allow these extra characters to be shown.)
