I have problems trying to choose albums and artists with the search facility.
I have 25,000 tracks on board which is probably a bit too much for FP.
It locks up for a while then displays multiple presses of the same character.
Other than that it's very nice.

Hey Frodo,
Started using FrodoPlayer about a week ago. GREAT APP !!! Have been working on my skin (of course, the Batman theme), got all my colors, buttons, font sizes, menu location, apps, and everything else set up and working great. The one question I have is, is there anyway to allow backgound art that is added to the backgrounddown.jpg and backgroundup.jpg to show through the playlist and directory area as the background? I have played with background colors in the .ini files, but have been unable to get the pictures to show through. I have attached a copy of what it actually looks like. Next post will show how I want the background art to be.

You can turn off supersearch in the options, that way it will only search when you press the return/enter button.

Transparency doesn't work in 1.08, however it is working in 1.09, so when it
gets out you will be OK.

Ok, 1.06 worked, but 1.08 gives me a white screen and nutin else. I've installed all you asked for. Also, all my album art is embedded in the MP3 ala iTunes and I didn't see them come in under 1.06. Perhaps that has been fixed in 1.08 but if not, just letting you know.

You need to copy the file over the one in the frodoplayer directory, not just click on it.

Frodo, have you find the volume bug.
I have one more clue.
If I shutdown with 0% volume it will start up with 100% as it always does. But it will not go down to 0% after a while.

Make sure you don't have volume to always start at 100% in the settings.

No I don't have volume to 100% in the settings.
I tried that also, check and uncheck.
Didn't help me
Try this.
Put FP in autostart
play a song with 0% volume.
Push the shutdownbutton on you computer.
when it's off start it up, wait for FP to start and BANG!
Try the same with 10% volume then it's just 2 sec BANG

my volume problem sounds somewhat similar... when i have frodoplayer running on a fresh reboot, everything works good, i shut the car off, 'puter goes in standby, turn the car back on, and the volume control in frodoplayer claims 0%, but it sure sounds like 100%. I cannot control the volume in FP at this point, but, if i close FP and open my creative audio mixer, simply change the wave/master volume (whichever frodoplayer is set to control), and open frodoplayer again, all is well...
got the via epia m10000 with winxp pro and sb extigy (my audigy 2 nx just hangs the puter when i try to play a song  )

Yeah but I drive 400 miles each week so I'm always listening to something on long journeys. But I suppose 400 miles is nothing to you people over the pond.

I could not get an error log, whenever I would have to end task, I would check the error log and it would be blank. So I finally decided to reformat HD, reinstall 98SE, install all Frodoplayer req's, install Frodoplayer, update to 1.08.........
NOW IT WORKS FINE!
