The dark.. The light one is way to light in the car and the contrast isn't bold enough on all the buttons.. I haven't actually put the new darker one in my car yet, but it looks a lot better.... I did put the light one in my car and it was too light and hard too see.

Maybe so, yes Frodoplayer is the most active, and Silent Admirier is coming along nicely with voices, but we all know the reasons behind Coyote's absence.
I personally have MediaCar, Voices (standalone app) and probably soon Frodoplayer installed on my car PC.
I didn't like the look and feel of frodoplayer, but now that nice skins have come along I will try it again.
But I won't be abandoning Coyote's MediaCar just yet. It does more than most for me.

the dark is better, but still quite hard to read in day time.
how about making the fonts thicker? like MENU, make the letters thicker? I dont know which font you're using or if there's a substitute

Now now be nice people... I'm using both MC and FP and will recommend both.
Anyway, back to biz.
I resorted to playing both MC and FP on my notebook in my car to see myself how the skins would look like (duh why didn't I think of that ). Admittedly, the brushed metal skin was harder to view especially when I passed some sunny spots. So, yes I will continue doing the brushed aluminium skin for daytime viewing (maybe even MC if time permits ) However, I think even the darker version of the two is still too light. I'll play around with it and release it asap.
So Frodo, when is 1.09 coming? Can't wait for transparency. I think the brushed aluminium skin will look better with transparency, don't you?

Hey Feb,
Will you be producing 800x600 skins this time with all the 'pages' covered in your most bodacious FrodoSkinnyness?
You are to skins what Slartibartfast is to fjords.
I liked all of them so far, even in bright sunlight. My monitor doesnt get any glare thank goodness based on its location.

I will be attending a Mercedes Benz meet this weekend in Northampton, it's very satisfying showing a working carPC in my merc when everyone else has the basic command installation in there cars.
They get, a 4" screen with CD, navigation, radio, (TV and nokia 6310i if they are lucky)
I get, a 7" touch screen with MP3, CD, DVD, DivX, navigation, radio, bluetooth, IR interface, web browser & email (where available). Lots of great interfaces to show off, MediaCar, Frodoplayer and Voices.
Craig

Do you mean the stretched version? With FP I don't think you need one. It will resize quite perfectly. I just tried modifying the .ini file

Huh? I heard this before but can't quite recall. I hope it's a compliment

Man, your car has two different timezones, you can move the monitor around to a less tropical zone
