Adjusting Wave & Main Volume Options??

Hi I just wanted to know if I could setup frodo to adjust the "main and wave" and "main and line in" volume to allow greater volume variation like media engine.

I also wanted to get rid of the mode buttons and just have selections for video, playlist, music etc.

Any way of doing this? ie. INSTEAD OF MODE_BACK_LEFT=39
MAYBE THIS MODE_VIDEO_TOP=33
OR MODE_PLAYLIST_WIDTH=14

Thanks

For the first thing, what exactly would that do ?
The second thing will be possible in 1.09
The 3rd thing, what are you talking about ?

Mediaengine does it and it allows more of a exponential volume curve. The other option is what mediacar does and has 1 volume steps at low volumes then 5 when it gets louder. It basically means to get the volume i want, I need to turn the gain up on my amps but then in the lower volumes the step from 0% to 2% is quite substantial.

The third was just regarding the second question. I was wondering if I could address the modes directly rather than up or down. Looking forward to the new release. When do you think it will be out?

I have the same concern. To get my ears ringin i need the master at 100% and i adjust the wave around. But wave volume at 2% with master at 100% is still too loud to carry on a conversation with a passenger... I was wondering if there was some solution to that.

ah yes.. I too have this problem... thought maybe it was just my setup....
but yea I had to find a happy medium with an acceptable cranked volume and an
acceptable low talkable volume. My 2% is also very loud in respect to a normal
headunit where you would keep it low but still talk in the vehicle.
Its come to the point that if conversation is going on in the SUV that I just pause
whatever music is playing... weird that that low of volume is still distracting at times!

Well basically the main volume would be set at a minimum of say 5%. Then when you turn up the volume the wave volume goes up. When that hits maximum the main volume starts going up.

Glad I'm not the only one!

I have this problem as well. To remedy it, I have to goto the Setup menu, change it from Master Volume to Wave Volume or vice versa. Then the increments change and I can lower the volume to a state where you can still talk to your passengers and hear the music faintly in the background...

Kind of a pain, but I haven't found a permanent solution as of yet...
