Screen size of IGuidance Embedded in FP

HEy guys, my trials and tribulations of screen resolution within FP continue. For those of you who don't know, I can't seem to run 800 x 600 on my laptop for some reason through my 7" Xenarc. Have tried everything. Either way I am running 1024 x 768 but have increased the font size and running Frodo actually looks great. Also one thing to note is that Frodo is running in a custom size (The reason is I have a frame around my Xenarc screen which chops a slight border all around the screen. I have a program that when I startup my machine, cuts that slight border all the way around and then with my custom resolution of Frodo, fits perfectly. Thats not the issue here.

I have IGuidance embedded and that process seems to work ok when i click on GPS in the FP menu. However, IGuidance does not fit the screen properly. I believe because its first loaded up externally and then gets embedded in Frodo? I can't seem to see the top song that is playing, half the top letters are cut off as well as the bottom buttons are slightly cut off too. From my hunch is that the program is running it as the native resolution but doesn't recognize the program that chops off the borders on startup.

HOpefully I haven't lost you by now but anyone know how to fix this? I didn't notice a custom resolution in the .ini for any GPS options or should I just run IGuidance externally? I'd like it to be embedded though.

I'd post screenshots but unfortunately my damn Digicam died as soon as I was taking them!!

OK lets try this. BTW, my settings in FP are 1000 x 750. For some reason on this screenshot you can actually see the top song name but notice that some of the left is cut off. I know I have to enlarge those buttons. I'll have to do that through Reshack. But it seems like it shifts my screen to the left a bit. Thanks for all your help Frodo!!

Here's how Frodo looks normally to give you an idea of how it fits the screen properly. I had to shrink it down to get it under 200K.

P.S. I was reading around which had something on that I should have my taskbar showing when using IGuidance but is that a problem when its embedded in FP? What i've done is have my taskbar autohide when a mouse is not over it. This makes it easier for me to handle especially running everything through Frodoplayer.

Dude, what are you doing modifying the stuff with a reshacker. That's the problem right there.

What do you mean? The only thing I've modified is the button sizes and street names? Wouldn't that be okay even if its embedded in FP? I would think I would have to considering everything is so small to see on a 7" Xenarc. I read through the entire thread in the GPS forum and now it seems somewhat workable. Even then why would this have conflicts embedded?

P.S. Even before Reshacking the buttons it was doing the same thing.

I thought you were modifying FP with the reshacker.

Not at all. I haven't touched Frodoplayer at all with Reshack. Only with IGuidance to make the font size bigger so I can see the street names properly as well as some of the menu options.

Just what I'm looking for! But WTF is "reshaker"??? I've serarched the forum and Google and still don't have a clue. Can you share either the tool or what you've done with IGuidance? It's scary squinting at the tiny nav lettering on a 7" at 70mph.

The program is called ResHack. I'd look in the GPS forum and read the huge thread on making the font size bigger along with changing a lot of other things with IGuidance.

Frodo, was there ever a real answer to this?

To recap, I have a custom size for my FP because there's a slight frame around it and I have a program that loads up on windows that makes the Windows OS a little smaller all around the edges so I can see everything properly. Loading up FP I have no problem and it runs great. Just when IGuidance is loaded, its embedded okay but I can't see the edges all around because its covered by the frame.

Thanks.
