frodo just quits on load? UPDATED: 99.9% sure problem found.
tried searching, not sure if i was using the right strings but yeh!
everytime i go to load frodoplayer it loads then just quits? re-installing fixes the problem, but this is the 2nd time its happend.
i didn't change any settings b4 hand, i usually do all my settings as soon as i install frodo so i don't think its that.
i'm using an nlited winxp, i forgot to include wmp, but i installed wmp10 myself after i installed windows, everything seems to work fine.
any ideas?

after you reinstall frodoplayer.. does it run? and work?... or does the install seem to work but frodoplayer never comes up when you run it?
We will need very specific steps to recreate the problem.. or to help you troubleshoot it..

Last dude that had a problem like this, frodo I'm me spend a lot of time trying to figure out the problem, until a the end I send it him to do a recovery from the WinXp cd and then it work.
What is my point here? that with nlite sys you never know what your missing.
BTW do you have all the Requirements such as Visual Basic Runtime SP6, MDAC 2.8 Etc installed?

after i re-install frodoplayer everything works fine, i can do all the usual stuff. turns off properly, etc. normal operation as far as i know.
could it be wmp10?
this is what happened: frodo workin 100%(afaik), then i quit frodo and decided to watch a movie in my car while i wait, so i loaded up a movie which loaded through wmp. then when i was going home i quite wmp and loaded up frodo which is when the problem started. i didn't change anything in wmp.
i'm assuming i have all the requirements because frodo seemed to be working fine before hand.
i'll just re-install it for the moment, but i hope its not a frequent problem!

What about installing WMP 9?? there is a couple of reports about FP no getting along with WMP 10.
Just to make sure go to the requirements page and downlaod them and install them.

ok! i think i've found out what it is!
happens on certain MPG files, which leads me to belive its the codec pack i'm using (ffdshow-2005/09/09)
it must be something to do with fddshow not loading up or something. when frodo crashes, i just open up winamp, play a video file, quit winamp. then i load up frodo and it works!
can can1 recommend a good codec pack that isn't buggy?

None. Codec packs are the devil.

Like that cat of yours...
Sorry back to topic...
I tryed some codecs in the past but I notice that those were the reason for my epia to lower the volume to 0 when resuming from hibernation, so now I don't use them at all.

Download and install them individually. You can use gspot to find out what codec a video file is using.
