FP 1.10 Release (It may be a turd)

http://frodoplayer.com/nonuke/downlo...fp110setup.exe

There it is, it needs all the normal requirements, plus MSXML 4.

I'm sure there will be questions.

If you are a newb, I would suggest you leave it alone !
This is for veterans for now.

I also suggest uninstalling old FP, and or make backups.

This is menu.xml
It is case sensitive.
This is how you add embedded app buttons to the menu.
These two are there already, but the buttons aren't visible.
If you click in the bottom left of the menu, and a little to the right,
these will work.

Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <buttons> <app> <POSITION left="0" top="90" width="15" height="15"/> <NAME>***</NAME> <PATH>C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE</PATH> <COMMAND_LINE_OPTIONS>NONE</COMMAND_LINE_OPTIONS> <WINDOWTITLE>*Microsoft Internet Explorer</WINDOWTITLE> <WAIT_BEFORE_LOOK>1000</WAIT_BEFORE_LOOK> </app> <app> <POSITION left="15" top="90" width="15" height="15"/> <NAME>ASS2</NAME> <PATH>c:\WINDOWS\NOTEPAD.EXE</PATH> <COMMAND_LINE_OPTIONS>NONE</COMMAND_LINE_OPTIONS> <WINDOWTITLE>*Notepad*</WINDOWTITLE> <WAIT_BEFORE_LOOK>1000</WAIT_BEFORE_LOOK> </app> </buttons>

GPS support is generic now.

Frodoplayer.ini @ the bottom

Code:
[GPSDEFAULTPATHS] GENERIC_GPS_PATH=C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE GENERIC_GPS_COMMAND_LINE_OPTIONS=NONE GENERIC_WINDOWTITLE=*Microsoft Internet Explorer GENERIC_WAIT_BEFORE_LOOK=1000

1.09 Skins won't work yet. They need mods.
No, I do not remember what yet.

If you get that flash error on install, just ignore it.
If settings 1 doesn't work, install flash normally.

gps buttons are in the ini files for dvd, fm, and xm.
Just not on the skin, just edit the skins and ini files
if you need it.

To see something nice, AFTER you build your db, go rename one of the folders under the root, and instead of build, choose sync.

I haven't been following the updates, so I might get flamed for this, but no OBDII support yet? I just read the last page, so I know there is no Sirius...

Not too much skin recoding required

(FP1.10 in this shot running my CONSOLE skin)

GPS doesn't appear to be skinnable??

Settings screens are still a nightmare to navigate (especially on a touchscreen). Any way to simplify this or at least make fonts larger?

Other than that, first impressions are fairly stable

Just scanning the INI files to see what's new...

Ok I am testing it right now and so far, iGuidance does not incorporate as well as it use to. There are some issues. The top of iGuidance is about an inch below the top bar of frodoplayer, and then the bottom is grayed out except for the time/date and it covers up the controls for the songs.

I did a wipe of 1.09take3 and did a fresh install of 1.10. Reconfigured everything.
