Question INPUTS - 12V Volts <> 5 Volts

Is this correct:

If you supply a voltage creater than 5V to board you will damage it?

If you what board to act as voltmeter, must you use a Voltage Divider to ensure the max input doesnt exceed 5V - does the brain then convert and display 5V as being full battery charge?

FusionFormDynamic.skin doesnt show any processing?

I will reply to the hardware portion, Nick can reply to the software scaling.

If you source more than 5vDC to the analog input, you will damage the PIC.

The easy solution is a voltage divider.

The better solution is an Op-Amp.

Both are available with examples on Wikipedia.
