error on starting fcc

I got busy and haven't messed with this thing in a couple days, got a min tonight so I thought I would play with it. but now it wont start, keeps telling me there is an error in the skin file on line 19, well 19 is the first #startnew# under outputs, what could be wrong with that, so just for giggles i comment it out and then when I try again it complains about the next #startnew# line and so on till I comment them all out and then it starts with a plain black screen ..like thats a surprise! I deleted the entire fcc dir and re downloaded only to come up with the same thing, then I uninstalled the drivers, re downloaded and installed them and started from scratch and I still get the same thing?

ok so I think maybe the board is just goofy so I unplug it and plug in the other one, well first thing I was going to do was change the device instance ID in the skin for the new board but device manager still shows the same ID, is this right?

It is usually the line above what it reports. Can you post your code starting from the beginning of the file through the first #startnew# to its end.

Is this with the default skin or something you have messed around with?

yes.

and it's not the board, it's your skin file.

it was the default, I am still in the figuring out what this thing does stage, although I messed with it trying to figure out what happened. I loaded the drivers and software on a different computer last night, I grabbed the software second on the list because the date looked to be the most recent. when I fired it up it gave me a similar message but was complaining about line 2. I went back and got the software at the top of the list and this worked fine. so maybe it is a software mismatch but the thing is that it was working fine the last time I used it.

The most recent software is always uptop. If you are using Version 2 from the site, then you should have 2.2.1

That pipe in the background image the cause of the errors between versions. That pipe tells what page that background is for.

Also if you are just getting into things, ditch Version 2, and download MDX.
