couple of easy questions before car install in the weekend

Is it ok to cut the temperature sensor wire in half then run wire for length? Are the extensions for if you have your own sensors? Never worked with sensors before so want to make sure.

One other quick question, I am assuming the black wire with white stripe on the barrel connector is positive? Just want to make sure, I dont trust my meter skills.

and a couple easy answers:

You can cut the wire in half. However, if it's not properly shielded, you run a risk of picking up noise.... so basically, YMMV.

White stripe wire is positive. Even if you hook it up backwards, nothing should blow up... the power regulator will get real hot and the power LED won't light.
