FB powered valet switch... is this right?

I'm looking to make a "valet" switch of sorts using my fusion brain. basically i want to have a relay hooked into the accessory line on my m2-atx. When powered the relay will keep the line hot so that my computer doesnt turn off even though the key is out of the ignition. Sound like it would work? Does the FB provide enough power to keep acc hot? If there's something i'm not thinking of by all means let me know lol.

That's not technically a valet switch, but yes it would work with the proper protection. Problem is though, there are multiple ACC lines on a car, all connected to the original starter. It's hard to explain but you'd have to power them all to keep the ACC line hot.

If you JUST wanted your computer hot, you could just send +12v to the ACC line of the PSU you're using. Except be careful in case you forget to shut it off. Make sure you add some sort of 555 timer that starts when the ACC goes off.

Why not save the FB resources for other stuff and do this with this.

Actually, my new switch does the same thing but is illuminated whenever power is on so when I get out I know with a glance if its set to On/Off/Auto.
