Sign me up. I have been waiting for you guys for a while now. Carputer is ready to go.
Edit: I see it doesn't have built in relays. I was hoping it did. Hmmm....Not sure if this is what I want yet or not.

The relays are an accessory, they are connected via a cable so that you don't have to run several high-current feeds to one board, you can put the relay near the device to reduce the length of the run. This board can control relays directly.

I would be more than willing, to do some beta testing on the bench for you guys, my pc wont be installed IN my car for another month or so, LCD fabrication isnt done yet [how-ever it does work well on my desk ]
but i am VERY interested on the portability to a Linux OS, since thats the direction my CarPC is heading, for many reasons, if give a spot as a beta tester i would like to attempt to run your EXE's through WINE [if you haven't already] ...
I am a 3rd year IT student at RIT in upstate NY, and have some experience with hardware/software trouble shooting, let me know if I'm the kind of guy you're looking for.

Well we havent tried the application running under WINE. I don't see why it shouldn't work. It will be open source, so no active decompiler restrictions or anything. Right now the software is still in testing and developement as well, and when the first version is complete, it will be a free download on our "yet-to-be-determined" website.

You are more than welcome to.
Doesn't streetdeck allow skinnable external applications to run though?

I don't think it dose, it allows you to run external applications but not inside of streetdeck. Streetdeck will minimize or lose focus while the other app opens on top of it.

I see. Well that sucks.
If you need any help with how the program interfaces with the hardware, or how to interface with the program, then shoot me an email and I will be glad to help out.
That is the benefit of community oriented developement!

Alright using Spy++, this is what I see:
Pretty surprising to see all that stuff show up! But yes, that is exactly how it is all setup. I assume that means you can interact with it fairly easily.

Sure, whatever you want to do, go for it. I can start coding as soon as I have everything that I need.
