I deleted about 10-15 posts in here temporarly until we can fix the image size problem. each image was 2-4 megs and about 10 images per post..so 100 pics time 4 megs...more deadly for my cpu than photoshop and it killed my browser. We are looking into what to do here.

Your item arrived at 7:09 AM on June 27, 2007 in COLORADO SPRINGS, CO 80906. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later.
That is the last box of goods Nick needs to ship the preorders. He has everyone's invoice printed, and all the boxes for all 30 orders ready to be packed. If that box made it to his house today, then all preorders will ship tomorrow.

Is the "Entire Project" file that's on your website the most recent version of the project? I get some odd errors when I try to rebuild it even when I don't change anything.
Which version of Visual Studio did you use to create it? I'm tinkering around with Mono and MonoDevelop to see if I can get this thing to actually work in Linux. *shudder* .NET in Linux, what has the world come to?
Also, if you're planning to keep everything open-source, you might want to make sure there's a GPL posted up along with the downloads just to CYA. I'd hate to see such a wonderful creation go all pear-shaped just because some money grubbing tech leech got his hands on your work.
Major congrats and respect for all that you've put into this so far! If only the rest of the world had your dedication to customer concerns and satisfaction! Looking forward to getting my toys in the mail in the near future.

Thanks!
We're not very worried about it, because you need the hardware to do anything with the software. The firmware in the PIC took nearly as long to develop as the software did. We'll certainly try to get a license drafted up, though.

No it is not the most up to date, but it is pretty close. I am working on a few issues, and another side project for this as well right now.
It was built using Microsoft Visual Studio 2005. What sort of errors are you getting? Visual Studio doesnt really like the way I linked the dll's, but make sure they are referenced. There are 2 dll's that are in there, and both needed.
And thanks for the congrats!
I will try to get a new full source up soon.

Also on a bit of bad news, our postman is the most horrible postman in the world when it comes to delivering pacakges. A 2 day priority will now take 4 days, and I have to go pick it up. Absolutely no mail was picked up or delivered today. So Sorry about this everyone.

VS was complaining about the SpeechLib DLL. It was saying that it was in a location totally different from where it actually was. I couldn't seem to find where the incorrect location was coded at. Even deleting the reference and recreating it didn't help.
That would probably explain why MonoDev was having issues with the .dll's as well. If you can figure out the cause, that would be cool, but I know you have far more interesting and important things to do first, so I'm in no rush. I'll tinker with what I have till then. Perhaps I'll get lucky and stumble on the answer.

Doh! It was an environmental setting on my PC, not in the project. So that's fixed, but I'm still not having any luck getting it to run on Linux. Mono really doesn't like the mpusbapi.dll. Ah well. I guess I'll leave it to someone who actually knows what they're doing in linux to figure out. It was worth a try.
Off to go load XP on my carputer now...

Since you have linux available, can you try the libusb library instead? It should be a direct replacement for the microchip dll but meant to run on non-xp OS's.

actually it may not be a direct replacement, but there are very few dll imports, and all of them occur in the usb interface class. So it should be relatively easy to convert.
