Ok, this is what I have been up all night for: EDIT LINK REMOVED (NEW VERSION AVAILABLE, LOOK DOWN A FEW POSTS)

It is rough, and not finished. But it works somewhat right now. Everything but saving and opening the skin files works properly right now. I know that may seem like the whole program, but believe, it is not. It works as-is now, but not very well. Just use it to get a feel of the program and to see that I have been doing something! You can lay everything out, and try to save it. It may work, it may not at this point. But go ahead and try it out.

The main program is a Sunday night thing.

I should maybe clarify, but if you start from scratch, and build everything in the program right now, it will save it perfectly 100% in my testing so far.

The oly problems come from reading in a file, and that doesnt set all the neccessary values yet, but will soon. So if you load a skin, you are asking for a heap of trouble. If you make and save a skin, you should be fine.

Also to move things around it is a L-click and L-click again and hold, then move around. If you L-click and move, it will work, but right now if 2 varried types (like analogue and output) cross, 1 will be sent into oblivion. To get it back, edit the one that vanished so that its location is 0,0 again.

I will do writeup on this program, but not now because it is not complete and the only reason I posted it was to show some form of a final project for so many days of working on it.

Well, goodnight all. :bye1:

Hey, thanks. I definately have been working hard to get the software all ready, I just hope you guys will use it!

I finished the skin designer I believe. I havent found any bugs so far. It seems to work now. I have uploaded it as a beta version to the website's software section here: http://www.fusioncontrolcentre.com/F...g/software.php

The 2nd table down titled "Fusion Control Centre Skin Designer" with a version number of 0.1 is the newest version right now. Please give it a try, and tell me what you think.

I havent fixed the weird launching a button into oblivion when 2 different types are crossed without click and hold-drag, instead of click and mouse-move. But I did limit the range of the buttons to only within the Designer's limit. So it wont launch it to some huge numbered location, rather just an extreme of the page. I will look into this, but it is not a priority as it was designed to be click and drag, not click and move mouse while hovering.

I will soon upload the source code of the designer as well. It is scary, ill tell you now. I started to use #region/#endregion code in it to keep it tidy, as I will try to get the source as neat and clean as possible for both this and the main application, but a functional application is a higher priority than pretty code.

Also I am currently working on updating the main application. I added some new features for the skin designer, and now have to incorporate them into the actual control program! So expect a new release of the software sometime next week.

Also I will be heading off starting Wednesday around 8am MST and wont be back in town until around the 20th or 21st late at night. So any orders placed after Monday, will not ship until the 22nd or so. I will have my laptop and internet access, so I will still be here to answer questions, as well as work on the software, just I cant ship.

The PIC upgrades however can all be done directly through Tim, as I do not have a programmer anyways. As far as I know he will be available. So if you want your PIC upgraded (remember free as described above), please contact us and we will get it sorted.

Well if windows cant recognize, it then it is a driver issue. I did test all boards before I shipped so I will put my money on a driver issue.

Have you installed all the drivers? Quick way to tell is open up the software and click the outputs. Do your LED's change? If not, there is no communication between Brain and PC, so that is why you get no readings.

Please visit the website here: http://www.fusioncontrolcentre.com/F...g/software.php

Under "Drivers" download "Hardware Driver" and when windows asks for a driver, give it that.

Also in your program folder make sure that the "Software Only" dll is in there.

And did your ESD bag the Brain shipped in have a large number drawn over it? If the little pink baggie was just plain, then you have version 1. If your baggie has a large "2" on it, then version 2, and if it has "3", then someone stole turbocad's and gave it to you!

Also if anyone has some html code for a table that can expand and collapse, we could probably use it on our website for the software section.

I realize now that for a few downloads, the current layout works fine. However, once we start getting lots of downloads available, it will be cluttered and hard to find things... I am going to use my upcoming 12 hour plane ride time to figure something out but I am willing to entertain suggestions!

If you have a favourite website with a good download layout, post a link for me to check out and see if we can implement something similar here.

Back to coding
