Question.
I put this in with RR and set the bit that causes it to change skins for me. Now every time I load up RR will come up to the menu. It doesn't matter if it needed to switch skins or not from the last time it was up; it always comes up to the menu. I assume this is because gammacontrol is sending the switch skin command to RR reguardless of what skin is currently loaded. Is that just the way it is?

Preferably I would like it always to come back to the screen I was on when I shutdown Whether it switches skins or not.

Anyway, just asking to see if that is how it is expected to work.

I don't send a "switch" command. I send a "dayskin" or "nightskin" command.

Bug?

I've got a 'quite' n-lited version of XP on my carpc and when I run gamma control it get various popups saying that {Guid} classid not registered.

99.9% certain it is gamma control throwing these messages.

Any idea what I might have removed that are causing the messages.. Ironically Gamma control still works fine but I get the messages when I do a 'Test Day' or 'Test Night' (but not 'Test Normal')

You europeans use a different numbers system. We use the dot instead of your comma. So what you'd need to do is go into the XML and replace eevry . with a ,

Sounds like parts of your video drivers got removed. Because GUID is the same for the app.

What does this mean? Don't run it on an nLited system.

I hav a problem... i'm runing Win 98 (don't know if it matters) anyways... i can run the GammaControlConfig just fine, and it changes the brightness and everything... but when i try to run the GammaControl application this error pops up:

The GAMMACONTROL.EXE file is
linked to missing export USER32.DLL:GetLastInputInfo

and after that error, this one comes..:

C:\GammaControl\GammaControl.exe
A device attached to the system is not functioning

That would be the fade function. Windows 98 does not support the API that I employ to check if there has been input. Try disabling the fading and see if it still gives you that error.

I'm having trouble getting lots of different programs to work in Windows for Workgroups 3.11 too... LOL. Seriously though, I don't understand why so many people stick with 2K even. XP or 2003 Server are always better in every aspect (boot-time, stability, security, compatibility, etc.)

Yup.... exactly. If you're stuck in the stone age, then that shouldn't really be our problem.
