I know its all very strange and the really strange thing that I can't get my head round is why I only get it on the main menu and on the GPS screen and RR seems to hang when I go back to the desk top and it appears again then. As I made my own skin I'm going to try some one elses just to make sure its not that.

well after lots of playing about for the last couple of evenings I've tried a different skin and it still does it. If I use GC to just adjust the gamma everything is fine but if I use GC to change the skins this is when I get the problem also I've found out the computer has to go into and out off hibernation before it will do it.

So maybe its an RR bug after skin change and resume from hibernation.

So thank you for your help on this

Hi... Can you tell me exectly which part you disable? Via the rr.ini file or through the RRConfig?
I have the same white box issue too...
Thanks in advance

Hi guys,
Lemme be specific, first. I got the white box issue popping up when I resume from hibernate. Not from cold boot.
Been meddling with the settings. I think I got the solution... Well, atleast for me.
About the white box thingy...
I notice it's got something to do with RR as when I click anywhere within the white box, it RR came launching back (initially RR is minimised).
For me, I innitially have four apps in the Startup folder.
1. RR
2. Touchmon
3. BT Soleil
4. Gamma Control
I switched the order in the instance below and now no more white box...
1. Gamma Control
2. TouchMon
3. RR
4. BT Soleil
I then restart the computer after these changes.
Then I try a resume from hibernation.
Viola... No more white box.
Will test it out more to see if this is a fluke and revert later.
Good night

Oops... Sorry!
Me bad. Well, it sorta temporary fixed it.
When done, the 1st resume from hibernation is ok (no white box). But on consequent resume, it comes back...

If this change happens during I am in my car - I can see how my screen staying more or less brighter - it is ok. And also if my FD is running the Gamma will automaticly change day or night skin in Free drive. But if let's say last time I started carputer was day and shut it down during the day (FD keeps day skin) if I start it during the night - gamma will switch brightness of the screen correctly BUT FD will stay in day skin I checked the box Change modes in FD in Gamma Control Config but still nothing How to ask Gamma to switch skins in FD doesnot matter what time I am turning it on (I want my screen in FD to be always on time of the day or night)
Thank you for your help and sorry for my bad english.
Vinzer
Looks like GC do not sending “switch” command to external applications on startup.
I have same problem with RR. I tested v2.4 and v2.3 and same problem is in both.
Is this wrong configuration or software bug?
