Pittfirefighter is an unknown quantity at this point
HELP PLEASE!! Hibernation

Carputer:
M10000
Toshiba 60GB HDD
512 ram
Windows XP Pro w/ SP2

computer will not hibernate or standby, seems like it goes into hibernation ok, "preparing for hibernation, white bar goes across", same with standby, but on turn back on... computer just reboots from start... please help

I think i have all the most recent driver updates... not quite sure how to update BIOS though... any input would be appreciated... i've been working on this problem forever

Please Help!

flashed BIOS with most recent update and reformatted harddrive, didnt add any extra drivers as i thought drivers might have been the problem... PLEASE help, i don't know what to do next... maybe just boot instead of hibernate... what kinda load difference is there in times?

Not memory... i think

I originally had a 1gb stick of RAM and degraded to a 512mb stick because i thought it was the size of the memory that was causing the problem... and it hasn't worked with either stick... soon to change hDD's as well to see if thats the problem...

To be honest, you're prolly gonna get sick and tired of Hibernation anyway. Too many issues.
I'd say remove the touch screen drivers first and make sure you're using a ps2 keyboard. Then try.
