Question Where to hook up to read OBD?

I was just reading optimos thread about hooking a computer up to your car to read all the engine data.. well I have a 1984 Cadillac Coupe DeVille that is all computer controlled and I was wondering if there was a way to find out if my car had OBD or if there was a way to hook my computer up to it and if so exactly where would I look to hook my computer up to it?

I'm not real sure on the caddies, but all the GM trucks didn't have any OBD untill the later 80's. If yours is carb'ed it probabally doesn't, but a few carbs did. If you have some kind of fuel injection then you probabally do have OBD. Usually its a plug under the dash under the steering colum

It's fuel injected... 4.1 Digital Fuel injection and I had a bunch of work done to it recently and one the components that was mentioned was the computer being replaced the only question is where to find the correct hook up

Look under your dash, right under the steering colum.

MP3DUB is on a distinguished road
Depends on the car, in the pre obd-II days, the connectors were as varried as AMP's connector cataloug. You could proabably google to see if anyone makes a product that would interface with your car (if your car does inface have obd), and software to support the adapter/converter connector.

GM always used the same connector, it should look like the one here

The A and B terminals are the ones you jumper to flash codes on the dash light
