Where do you buy OEM compatible Connector housings?

I am trying to splice into my 99 Tacoma left rear taillight for the break and light of my canopy. There is a terminal housing that has 6 space connectors in it with a latching mechanism.

Does anyone know where I can find a chance of buying the male and female version of this so I can slice in to power my canopy break light and canopy dome light? I could just cut wires and go splicing, but I'd rather try to do it a little nicer by making a Y connector with compatible parts. There are no markings on the nylon housings..

Thanks,

Jeff

Maybe an auto electrician or a wrecking yard. You could try toyota buy I doubt it.

I hate that it is difficult to get the factory connectors. i have tried getting them from toyota in the past, but ended up at a wrecking yard cutting plugs off other cars. I don't know why you just cant buy them.

If you can get me a picture of the connector, I can get you a part number. I can't promise you that Toyota will have any though.

Dealership. The body side should be available as a repair part. The one on the taillight might require buying a new taillight (busted one from a bone yard).

If you can get your hands on a physical mouser or digikey catalogue, you may have some luck there. Most connectors, save maybe the radio connectors and a few others aren't proprietary and may be available for purchase. If you have a picture like someone else said, i may be able to cross reference it for you
