ir question

is there an infared receiver out there that connects to the computer via usb rather than the serial port? i have a laptop (vaio) with a docking station and the serial port is on the docking station only. i want to carry the laptop to the car to listen to music(very light and convenient) but the laptop doesn't have a serial port. please help.
