FSB vs. Memory speed

I have my AMD Barton underclocked by lowering the FSB speed from 400 to 266. Does this affect the memory access speed? Or is the memory speed independent of FSB?

Usually, FSB controls memory speed. From little info you provide, guessing you are using DDR ram which means 400/2 = 200 mhz ram. Since you are underclocking, your ram will be running 266/2 = 133 mhz.

Yes that's what I meant. 200x11 = 2.2 gHz to 133x11 = 1.4 gHz underclock. I couldn't figure out how to unlock the multiplier so I did it that way.
