Pico-ITX, anyone actually got one ?

Hi There

I am doing research for a new 1-DIN carpc project, and was wondering if anyone actually has a pico-itx, maybe someone would spend some time telling about their experience with the board ? My main questions is, what functions are not easily available via regular pin headers, does some of them require that big io board on top of it ?
