Infill G4 - 15V

Hy all
I have a question about the Infill G4.
My nissan 350z got ~15V. Is this to much for the G4?
I read that the infill is made for 12V...

have i care about it?

Your nissan does not have 15v. 13.8v when on, 12v when off. If you are getting 15v, everything in your car will be fried.

i thought, yesterday where i startet my engine, my gauge show me 15V...
Is it possible that the volts come down with the time?

So the infill dosen't have problems with 13.8v?

It'll should be around 14.4 volts when the alternator is on. Your volt meter may be rounding up.

Altough I have no experience with the G4, I'd be surprised if any commercial carpc wasn't capable of operating in the 11-15 volt range.

i read a online manual about the G4
And theres writen that the G4 is not useable for 24V, only for 12V.
So i don't know if its around 12V (11 - 15V) or exactly 12V.

No car has "exactly 12V" - it's just a naming convention. Your car is ok.

And what you often read on a display in the car is not the actual voltage (Im not the guru, but one who is explained in detail that the display often shows what the charging system wants (affected by laod), and that the only way to get what is actually there is to measure it with a meter at the alternator.

And most things you put in the car, made for the car, will work on a wide range of voltage. Dont sweat it.

You can always check with a multimeter to give you some peace of mind. A properly maintained electrical system should hover at 13.8-14.5v with the engine on. I would start to get worried at 15v+ because not only can your battery life be shortened, but sensitive electronics plugged into your car might risk damage. In reality, your car electrical system with the engine left off for a while should read atleast 12.8v. An exact 12 volt reading indicates your battery is almost fully discharged.
