The Perfect Mobo?

I'm helping out a manfacturer on a next generation mobo. Other than the basics... at least 10 USB (if possible all on the I/O panel) Core2Duo based, and rock solid. I've already kicked around the onboard optical, and he kicked around onboard wifi, and bluetooth.

Is there anything else ya'll are looking for in a mobo?

other than an AMD based version, maybe dual onboard vid output, of course decent onboard audio

I say stick with Intel just like you have it. The more bells and whistles, the higher the price tag.

With 10 USB ports, that takes up a lot of room. Will this be a itx form factor?

What size MB??

I would like:

10 USB
Optical Audio output
2 COM ports
Best integrated graphics you can do.
Integrated RAID controller
No 80MB/s bottleneck on the SATA controller (ICH9 has this problem).

1. Twin vid out on board
2. 5.1 or greater audio on board
3. Hardware graphics decoding/acceleration for mpeg2, mpeg4 and any other common formats to take processing load from cpu

This will be based off the mini-itx form factor. I'm surprised on the dual video request. Whats everyone using it for?

Dual monitors, of course. Without the need for an add-on graphics card.

Personally, I don't need this feature in a mini-itx. If I was running dual monitors, I would expect a larger system...

10 USB may not be critical on a mini-itx considering the space constraints and that there are small powered hubs...

Ill put my vote in for dual video. I have 3 screens, one front, two headrests. The kids can watch movies in the back while I have the gps runing in front. Works really well, but hassle because you need to have a video card. As for usb. More the better. Now that hdmi has started to make a presence, I wish that videocard companies and monitor co. would just get rid of the vga cable and go completely to hdmi.

the intel board I use has just about everything I need, it has 10usb ports, but it 9.6x 9.6. a little larger then min-itx. I would like to see dual video and 24bit/192 sound
