Can you tell if there is anyway to pull that baby apart so that I can use the conversion hardware? I would like to avoid cutting the whole bezzel to pieces again.

EDIT: I checked out that link again. It says it comes with a power cable. Is that powered via USB to standard DC, or can I power with firewire.

Nickman,

I power my dvd drive just by the firewire port (no external power). The enclosure has limited ability to be pulled apart. Since it's in my center console, I don't have access to it right now to tell you how much.
