Great mobo
I've had the opportunity to experience this board first hand and am currently running tests on it as i am an Intel employee and we recieved this board for testing. I have it running with a Q6600 and 4 gb of ram. works great. i'm planning to purchase one when it goes retail and put it in my car. would highly recommend.

Have you tride the onboard sound, is it low enough for the car speakers (60 Hz)
How long is the boot time post, etc

I'm not sure if the sound is at 60 hz but there is no on board VGA there is only DVI-I and HDMI...you can use s DVI-VGA adapter to get video to a vga monitor. the cool thing is that if you use vista you can get DX10. but who wants yo use vista...esp in a carr. lol..but it is a possibility. I'm thinking on getting that board. I just ordered a 1U active heatsink, very low profile so when i get it i'm going to take it to work and test it with this board and the mobile computing solutions case. its a little tallier than the voompc case so i want to test the heat buildup.

sry, i mised the "I" after the DVI...
why is the onboard audio important? every integrated is a *** , a PCI or USB soundcard is the minimum...

Somtimes the exturnal card isn't seen by the mobo (hibernate), and they have the so called plop
The onboards are always seen by the mobo, and my experience its, there is no plop.
On the intel-site it is claimed that this onboard can support better speakers then the previus chipset.
PCI takes up to mutch space. So i only use the usb-sound cards.

mobo
It will take me a little more time to run these tests since i have to get a chance to go into the lab and measure current whuch is not an easy task since i have to measure the draw from the mobo to the psu and not the psu to the ac current, i orderded the m4-atx psu so when i get that it will be eaiser because i could then measure the current draw from the psu and the dc power source. i'll keep you guys posted..by then the board will probably go retail and will most likely be posted on the technical product specification on Intel's website.

i think the "pci card not seen" problem is not problem in the last 10 years - but there might be some exceptions rarely. but i think intel mobos are not affected in this problems...
if you play mp3s from the carpc, the integrated might be enough with noises, but i think a good pci/usb soundcard is one of the cheapest components in the package...
