M2-ATX and Epia CN13000 in a Voom case...No power

I need a little help with my new setup. Maybe I am missing something simple here. I am just not able to get my mobo to power up.

To get the mobo to power up all I need is:
Power/Switch and ground going to MX-ATX, and from the MX to the Mobo i need to have the J7 cable and the switch cable. Shouldnt it power on with that only?

I am using a 13.8VDC power supply in the house to try and get this thing running.

One of the things I am wondering about it the power from the MX to the Mobo.

The J7 is obvious. But the switches are confusing. Since the Zoom does not actaully have a power button.... am I suppose to use the J8 on the MX and connect it to pins 10 and 12 on the mobo? Red on 10 and Black on 12

If it doesnt boot with the cable in 1 direction, then flip it an try it. (The 2pin red/black one)

Because a button shorts the 2 pins, and the m2 doesnt, then you have to guess which way the cable will work. THe M2 just grounds one. To test, have everything powered on so the mobo should be on. Short the parallel header on the M2 and see if it boots. If it does, flip the cable on 1 end. If it doesnt your problems are elsewhere.

I know this may sound stupid, but also read the manual for your MoBo and check the F_Panel configuration carefully. My MoBo showed the picture one way, but on the MoBo it was reversed and I didnt catch it, so when I hooked it up and got no power I took a big caa caa in my pants thinking I screwed up my new MoBo. I read the book in more detail and realized the board lables pin 1 and pin 5... so do the instructions, I redid the wiring and the PC booted.....

I did the same, I thought it was the PSU but then I got an external switch. Few days later, I wanted to test the power switch button and when replaced, I must have put it the other way round and it worked lol
