Running Wires Under Carpet = Trouble?

I'm going to strip my interior seats and carpet so I can run the wires under there. I want to completely separate all the power/video/USB/audio wires into different lines and get them down there out of the way. They'll be running from the dash to the trunk, should I worry about anything under there besides sharp edges? I find if I have bare feet on the carpet, my feet get too hot to keep there, I have to put them up on the seat. So that would mess with my wires right? I'd like to put down sound deadening but it's real expensive.

You have the same car I have, and under that carpet there really arent channels. But in the side panels there are channels. Enough for 2 4awg wires and all my vga/usb/sound/everything. There is an equal channel on the right hand side. So why not use those? If you run them under the carpet they will be severly visible and look pretty bad.

That's where I have them now. I run the power/USB/video under the kick panels on the floor and the audio around the edge of the headliner but still hidden. I'm getting crazy whining through my audio and have a ground loop isolator on one of my jacks.

When I went to install my 4 gauge wire, they reccommended that I run it under the car. Which I did. Everything else I ran in the side panels, and anything else was run under the front passenger carpet, which has thick padding, so you dont notice the cables at all...
