run it external, doesn't matter that it won't fit in your case.

That doesn't answer my question.
I want the drive in my case, so does anyone know of one?

Boy, I wonder if this topic will ever get covered properly.... I have been in the same boat for a few months now, with the Slot Load iMac SR-8184 DVD drive and no adapter that works. Bought the iDot one and it is upside down, had a hell of a time getting ahold of somebody at allmac.com....

As you know, allmac.com is always stated here to carry the proper adapter... when I finally got them on the phone I spoke with Scott who seem very knowledgeable on the deal, more so than me....

Amyhow the part numbers that are given in this thread (for allmac.com's adapeters, BRD-4525 and BRD-0071) are no longer used.

What Scott swore to me was correct is part number APP-3321, which I should have sometime this week. Once I get it I will post here if it works or not....

Thanks for posting those pics - I really needed that push to get mine hooked up.

It's now working great hooked up to my KIOSK PC. Thanks for the help guys.
