To get one of these to Aust. for reasonable shipping is a major ask, if at all, also thought buying from the shop was good for the board!

Australia?
Plenty of stores have them over here now. Just jump on staticice.com.au and punch in d945gclf2 and spend, spend, spend!

MMMM I've got an interesting problem. I've just got my new board and put it in the car, but the BIOS is dog slow. Even navigating in the bios settins is slow. It takes a second or two to load up a new page when I select a submenu and takes a second or so to load the intel bios splash screen. anyone else having this problem?

I have a D945GCLF2 but I haven't hooked it up to anything yet. Damn life distractions.
Nope, I was not planning to have a sub in the car.

Yeh I should have waited too, but these things are sooo cheap I don't care I am upgrading. It's as thou the single core one was just a stand in whilst I built my system and now I can have the one that I am actually going to run with. The single core one is no slouch, so the dual core, hyper threading remember, should give the performance increase that is lacking in the little fella. Talking aboot the price it looks to be ~ the same as the single core one ~£50. The only thing is the dual core Atom requires like 300% more power a M A S S I V E 8w, 'steda 2.4w, oh no will my PSU br able to handle it? Anyone want to buy a second hand D9345GCLF, only a cupla months old one carfull owner, well I wasn't that carfull I did hit one of the large elctrolitic caps with a drill while I was making the case, but it only made a hole in the plastic and didn't burst the can.

Get this power cable instead since you're gonna use the M2-ATX.

As for memory, I'd purchase whatever is recommended by Intel for that motherboard. Also 533Mhz is the fastest that MB can utilize.
