i think more than 4 usb would be better than 2 x GIG lan ports

guessing its been designed with server firewall solutions in mind

Injector, that toslink to 3.5mm adapter cable.. its still an optical cable, just some plug types use the 3.5mm hole for optical in/out

It has a header on the board for audio, which I presume would give you all the normal analog input/outputs. It has a Realtek HD Audio ALC888 codec, which is quite good.

Also, no one mentioned this:

GPIO Interface
Onboard programmable 8-bit digital I/O interface

Basically a built-in Fusion Brain! Albeit digital only, no analog. But still, very useful.

This board looks very interesting.

Hi galvitron, do you know of a compact DC-DC power supply board that has just a 4-wire 12V output?

I've been looking for one for some time, and the best seems to be Liantec: ...but try finding one anywhere...

All the DC-DC boards seem to have 20 or 24-pin...

If you are going to spend the extra money on a compact 3.5" board it seems sensible to find equally compact peripherals...

The board has standard stereo headphone style jacks for stereo output via headers that go to a little mountable jack assembly about 2 inches wide.

Here is their U.S. distributor:

EDIT: Also, expect it to be around $400 USD.

It is expensive, but can't be beat as far as size/performance

^^ That's nice, but a Core 2 Duo is much more powerful. (not trying to be mean)
