P4 3.4 GHz 800 FSB v. Core 2 Duo 1.86 GHz 1066 FSB?
This really isn't a CarPC question, but I figured I'd ask here since it's PC related and I'm sure someone could benefit from it at some point in time.
So I'm trying to decide which to run in this desktop computer.
The board will take both...
I'm using the system mostly as back up for my files.
To store my music, videos, pictures, etc. Media backup.
I'll be using it to rip new CDs, DVDs, etc. I'll be backing up important information to it, like Quicken data files, my laptop Outlook .pst files, etc.
I know it won't make much of a difference either way which processor I run for this type of stuff, but I'm really more curious more than anything.
I'll be using this machine to host these files and I'll stream them over the network to pull them to my laptop or my carpc. I will also back up my laptop TO this machine and I'll also want to store images on this machine as well (for the laptop and the CarPC).
So, which one would you go with? All other things being the same on the board...memory, etc.
Thoughts? I say these two, because I have them both sitting here.
