Aopen i45GMt-HD & miniPCI-E SSDs

Wonder if anyone this board and get it to work with mini PCI-E SSDs similar to those found in netbook ?

Was thinking it will be sweet to pair the board with a MDD's 64GB SSD.

SSDs aren't PCI-E. They are either IDE (also known as PATA) or SATA, just like a mechanical HDD.
I don't see any IDE connectors listed int he specs for the board, so you'd need a SATA model.

Hi guys
it's alright. i figured it out. dugged out their installation guide. It seems that the board's mini PCI-E slot have SATA lines in it, effectively allowing it to take mini-PCI-E SSDs.

strikeback03 is an unknown quantity at this point
If you were thinking of something like these, remember that they are pretty slow, so if you want it for speed you would be far better off with a decent 2.5" SSD

some thing a bit faster. the runcores (like these http://www.mydigitaldiscount.com/Cat...ini+PCI-e+SSDs )

going with SSD isn't really for the speed but for shock resistance. my car's a little bumpy...

Dear All.
to clarify the matter. a quick answer is no. while the connector is a mini PCI-E edge connector, the pin outs are totally different. in fact, on eeePCs, they are labelled as flash_con (flash connector) instead of PCI-E.
