USB Power Trigger

I'm working on powering a USB hub that accepts a straight 12V source(has its own regulator built in to convert to 5V). What I need to do is have this hub always on when the laptop is on, and always off when the laptop is off otherwise weird issues happen.

Any suggestions on how to go about doing this?

You buy the P5USB at the mp3Car Store?
unless you want to build it yourself.

That looks like exactly what we need, unfortunately at this point we have 300 hubs purchased that I need to make work. We actually just wired up a 6V relay inline and it's doing what we need but building the cables is an issue.

I used the guide at http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/mp3c...sb-hub-g4.html

I was able to run both 5V and 12V to the same relay without any issues...
