I beg to differ, Dlink works well. I have used both. I am currently using dlink and have had no problems. Although I will say, the transfer rate is not as good as Linksys. That being said D-Link is easier to setup and secure. (The router that is.)

The D-Link equipment (wireless cards) I have kick the *** off my Linksys cards. The access points are not quite as powerful as a hacked Linksys one though. Any way, a PCI card is not the best thing to use in a car.

It depends how he is using it. I use mine just to transfer files when the car is in the garage. It works fine in that regard.

Why not USB?
I recon the USB is the best choice when it comes down to wireless netowrking in the car.
If you carputer is under the sit or somewhere away from the window you not going to get much singnal coming out of the car...
With USB you can place the adaptor next to the window and run it to where ever your box is.

Just tried this card - not sure if the design is bad or if I just got a bad one. Will not hold connection to my access point. Will not connect at all if there is another wireless device (phone or laptop) in the same room.
Plan to try a different brand.
