A usb XM radio antenna. Now I can add XM to my carputer.

Check it out:

Hi!
that's been out for a while now. I see they dropped the price from 69.99 to 49.99.

Yeah, I noticed after posting that it had been out for awhile. I posted on here about a year ago or so inquiring as to if/when someone would produce this device and people told me they thought it'd never happen because it would be too easy to hack and receive xm signal.

Guess my thought came to fruition.

I have it installed on my carputer. Pretty good. Not quite as good reception as I got with a Terk external antennae and my Pioneer...

I have it direct wired to the GM9 (or whatever model) on the Aux input of the OEM HU. The software makes up for that though... MUCH better way to access XM than the poor LCD readout on the Pioneer.

One fault, doesn't support resolutions other than 800X600 (barely usable on 640X480) and the font size of the readout is fixed... BUT it can prolly be fixed in the future. HTH-Carl

ebay

As with everything I'm looking for go to Ebay to find some lower cost XM Radio Antenna

What about the program called Media Center that can record from the XM and burn any songs. Any one checked into that. For $40 it might be worth it.

http://www.the-gadgeteer.com/xm-pc-s...io-review.html has a review on the XM Radio.

Just getting started:
Waiting to be installed in a 93' Mitsubishi Diamante: Shuttle X Case, Pentium 2 Mhz, 80 gig HD, 256 Ram, Win XP Pro, GPS, and XML to come .. Need good touch screen and good way to mount the screen so I can see it in the day. Anyone know of a shade cover for these things?
