Where to find dead amps

I can't find any dead amps at the shops around my house. Where are you guys finding them?

try audio REPAIR shops... the retail shops are a waste of time.

for using as a case for your carputer.

if you use a heat pipe to cool your cpu and other components that need cooling, and connect the heat pipe to the case itself, then most of the heat will be disapated to the outside of the case, just like how an amp works.

amp cases are usually thick extruded aluminum with large heatsinks attached, so they offer protection as well. that way you can keep your computer in your trunk and not have to worry too much about it getting banged up.

Cool.. Thanks..

I have the resources and knowledge to build aluminum cases like this. Are you guys interested?

Here's a pic of a cooler that my buddy designed for cryo-cooling. Would be nice for a peltier array to liquid cooler.
