Hi, on my new Boss C-150 2 channel amp it has both high level inputs and low level inputs, what's the difference? Right now I've got my PC plugged into the low level inputs using RCA connectors, the high level input has a different connnector than RCA (plug on one end and bare wires)...

you are using the right one.

High level means an amplified signal. For example, you have a factory stock radio with no pre-amp outs. You can just tap into the leads going to the speaker which is already amplified, and use this as high level input to your amp.

high level inputs are less subjected to interference and can travel further without signal loss.

Confusingly i find low level to be cleaner, im thinking its to do with the ****ty preamp circuits that im used to.

If anybody knows a bit about it or a good like for it id be interested to know more

I found the same. High level inputs didn't seem as clear. But it may have been that the built in high level inputs weren't that great.

You can get a line driver/signal booster for your preamp lines. They will bump up the voltage and make it less prone to pick up interference and your amp gains can be turned down so it doesn't have to work as hard.
