Sony getting into the "In-Car Computer" scene...well, the MP3 playback bit at least

My boss (after seeing my in-car computer and getting his mind racing) just sent me a link to this new HU he's seen.

Looks like it could be nice for those wanting purely a music playback system, without too much hassle of building a whole carputer setup.

Ooops, fixed the link now. I'm used to FuseTalk links, which do it the other way round to vBulletin!

Looks cool, but for the $1300+ dollars that they want for it, I would rather have my home built $500 system that can do more

Those ARE cool. I was looking at one when my dad bought the HU I have now.. Its just a simple $279 Sony HU that looks plane (Flat black .. With LCD) but is decent. I will use it with my CarPC system too as it has a seperate AUX IN and SUB line, so it can do what I need even with amps
