Motorized LCD for G35 Coupe

Hey Guys.

I Bought a infiniti G35 Coupe without the factory Navigation. I want to install a touchscreen monitor( probably Xenarc ) where the factory navigation is installed ( see pic below ). I have all the parts including the housing that lcd screen is in but my only problem is i want the ability to pop up the screen just like the factory one by a push of a button. Do you guys have any suggestions as to how to do this? I don't necessarily have to have it motorized but what will help get the best effect. Do you think i should go with a linear actuator if so which one?? I don't have much space to work with. I'm open to suggestions

where did you get the housing from? i was going to try to do what you're talking about but to buy the lcd housing separately from infiniti was in the thousands of dollars. i'm pretty you could fit the xenarc into the stock lcd housing, but like i said, i didn't try it myself. if you let me know where and how much u got ur stuff for, we might both be doing this one.

thanks,
inor

i guess i'm missing something .... why can't you just take your existing screen out of the housing and put the xenarc in? and use the stock motor and whatnot?

Your the guy with the xenarc screen on the g right?

Hey i saw your site. Well if you purchase just the housing or the piece that holds the lcd screen it will run you around 30 bucks. But if you want the piece where the housing sits in then it will run you 1300. I got mine from my dealership
