USB power & touchscreen issues...

Hi!

I have a hp f1064a power supply running a m9000 in a cubid 3688.
Everything works fine...until I plug in the touch screen..and then the power supply cuts out...

I suspect it's drawing too much power through the USB socket and consequently tripping the PSU protection circuitry.

Would it work if I switched the 5v source that the touchscreen usb cable is drawing from? (ie use the 5v line off the ps2 port) or could I try a serial to USB convertor? would that be any better than using the standard USB port?

Many thanks,
Richard O'Donovan

you could try an externally powered USB hub, but then you would need a 120v source I think,,
