I had the same problem awhile back, but now the audigy2 nx keeps my volume at the last setting I had everytime I power on and off. I have no idea how the problem just disappeared but it did...at least for me.

everytime you power on/off? or standby/hibernate?
i had no problems when i would shutdown the computer, but when i used standby w/the earlier drivers, it would have the volume issues. when i used the newer drivers which enable the usb2.0, the soundcard wouldn't even work when coming out of standby.. so.. yeah.. i gave up

Are you using the Master volume to control your output or the individual volume controls (line in, wave, cd in, etc)? As I posted above, the 100% volume problem only effects the master volume and then only when resuming from hibernation or suspend.

I've been using the master volume for it, but never really had the computer in stanby/hibernation so I dont know whether I have the same glitch going out of hibernation.

The newest drivers seem to have solved this problem.
