Will this work with a standard IDE channel? Looks like it. Thanks, I'm just looking for reassurance before i buy.

Same question for me, except I dont have a pic to go off of. anyone care to take a guess if it will work? (looks like it to me)

You are bidding for ONE 24x IDE CD-ROM Drive (Slim line). This product was replaced with a newer version of the IDE CD-ROM Drive (Slim line) prior going to production. The IDE CD-ROM Drive (Slim line) can be used on all HP/Compaq ProLiant DL servers. Quick Specs can be found on HP/Compaq Web Site. Software updates can be found as well at HP/Compaq’s Web Site.

I have the same exact model.

The ide end is kinda long. I didnt actually initially have that adapter that you have but aquired it and was not happy because it was so bulky. You can remove the entire piece and pick up one of these http://www.idotpc.com/TheStore/Perip...t.status=green

worked out great, much smaller left room for more real estate.
