My (attempted) carputer hates me

So I tried to install the system in the car this weekend, but for some reason the touchscreen drivers wouldnt install. I hadnt installed these previously because I had already run the lilliput cable under my carpet for version 2.0 and didnt want to yank it out.

Everything worked except the touchscreen. I had Netstumbler up like a charm, 800x600 with the Epia M10000 VGA drivers, Voice control, everything. After 3 hours of fruitless attempts to get the touchscreen to work, I yanked everything and set it up in my dining room.

I set about reinstalling windows and got the touchscreen working on the first try (after I tried without reinstalling windows, of course). WOO HOO! On to the VGA drivers...

I still cant get those to work--tried different refresh rates and everything. I just get the Over Range message and the "ghost" image that everyone else has gotten but I have never gotten before. Havent yet figured out that one yet, so I decided to just go ahead with the native drivers in XP.

My latest problem has been with Netstumbler and my Orinoco USB card. I have always had problems getting these two to play nice. I bought a PCMCIA and a USB client at the same time, and they came with different driver CDs. Both CDs work with both cards, but I can never remember which one is for the USB client. I say this because if I use the "wrong" drivers, I cant get netstumbler to recognize my USB card and I CANNOT uninstall the drivers and install the right ones because the right ones are older than the wrong ones.

At this point, I am reinstalling windows again in hopes that I can get everything to work at the same time.
