RE: Who Wants Custom Length 80 Pin IDE cables
Hello,
I currently have the abillity to buy a large amount of bulk 80 wire IDE cable and was wondering if anyone on here would be interested in buying custom made length IDE Cables. The price per foot would be 1.00 US perfoot plus the 3.00 US for Female IDE connectors added to each end. If you were to by 15 feet i will throw in the connectors in for free.
Please post if you are interested I have not yet bought the cable, this is what you could call a little market research. I could do this multiple ways i could sell on the board if the admisitrators will let me or i could sell on ebay on a per foot basis.
Please give me some feedback ... my ebay feedback is located here
http://cgi2.ebay.ca/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI...serid=pacboy19
and im really a reliable ebayer.
Thanks
Tyler

Well I have just been reading the posts on this forum and the longest I beleive that has been tried is 15 feet. I have not bought the supplies for this yet this is just an initial test, but i would definatly have to test it out before i was to start selling

I use a 10 foot IDE cable for my DVD drive, and haven't had any problems. The system isn't installed in the car yet, but it works fine on the dining room table!

if it allows me to put the computer in the trunk and have a DVD reader in the dash, I'm in.

Hello,
About the Male connectors I have looked and can't find them anywhere. If i could find them then it might be possible, but my understanding is there are only female ones on the site i am buying from.
What is it being used for?
