IDE adapter without missing pin???

Hi,

ive got an ide adapter (desktop hd to laptop hd adapter), but all the ide cables i have - have got a blank where one of the pins should be!

This adapter has all the pins still there - i had a look at my deskop hd and they have pins missing, so where can i get an ide cable to fit this?

Regards

John

just use a small needle or something to poke through the blank on your ide cable thats what I did. I had the same situation, or you can just break the pin thats not supposed to be there on the adapter. But I would just suggest poking a hole in the end of the ide cable.s

I have had to simply drill out or use an exacto knife to "turn" out a hole in the ide cable. Or optionally you could always break out the correct pin on your adaptor.

lol, he beat me to it
